La Casa de Loto is inspired by the wisdom of the Buddha’s forest retreat tradition. The buildings and accommodations are simple and comfortable and you will have the feeling of being immersed in a natural setting whether inside or outside a building.

Our retreat cabins are thoughtfully designed, comfortable rooms, nestled in the forest with a mountain creek that flows below. Each room is equipped with its own bathroom and a balcony which offers enchanting views of the surrounding mountains and forest. The simplicity of the structures allows you to feel like you are a part of your natural surroundings rather than being cut off and enclosed like we experience in modern buildings. This leads to a feeling of oneness with the trees, birds, insects and other wildlife. 

 

In addition to your retreat cabin, you will have access to several indoor and outdoor communal areas throughout the land including:

• Outdoor deck with dining area, fresh fruit and tea station and a library

• Benches and other seating areas around the land

• The Gompa (Practice Hut)

 

Please note that we are located on a mountainside with unpaved paths between buildings, so a moderate level of physical fitness is required.
